Dear Friends & Members of Grace,

You are invited

to a special “party” as Grace Lutheran Church wishes a Fond Farewell & Blessed Retirement to Pastors Wendell Hendershott & Netsie Griffith.

When:  Saturday, August 29
Time:   7 – 8:30 pm
Where:  Grace Lutheran Church parking lot

Meet at Good Samaritan Church at 6:45pm for a car parade to Grace

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Wear a mask and maintain social distance.

Those who want to be part of a car parade should be in the parking lot of Samaritan Episcopal Church on 36th and Harrison by 6:45 to line up.

The car caravan, led by a pilot car, will enter the Grace parking lot from Tyler Street at approximately 7:00 P.M.

Those who don’t wish to parade many come directly to the church before 7:00.

All cars should park in our lot as far away from the church building as possible to allow standing room during the program.

After parking, you may leave your car to stand nearer the program platform, staying in family groups and distancing from others.  If you are able to hear from your car, it may be even better to stay inside the car until the “meet and greet” time after the program just to limit contact.

Wendell and Netsie will be seated on a “stage” (a trailer with a sound system) in front of the building near the rose bushes.

There will be a short farewell program.

After the program you may join a reception line, again with distancing, to file by the stage on foot a few at a time to greet and say goodbye to the pastors,

A basket will be provided for cards.  No refreshments are planned because of health restrictions.
