Middle School Youth
Youth in 7th and 8th grade are part of the Confirmation program. They meet Sunday mornings in Room 7 and some Sunday evenings exploring catechism topics in a modern context. Grace middle school kids also participate with those from other Corvallis churches in quarterly activity nights.
Recent Service projects they initiated include the Souper Bowl of Caring, assisting high school youth with preparing and serving the annual Easter Breakfast and shepherding kids during Grace Day Camp.
Youth from Grace and Lutheran Campus Ministry at Oregon State University are planting a tree in Germany and in Corvallis through the Luthergarten project to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017.
High School youth meet Sundays in their room off the Ronennkamp Hall for a topical study & snacks. Highlights of the last year included fund-raising and attending the 2015 ELCA Youth Gathering in Detroit, an assembly of 30,000+ Lutheran young people. Plans are developing for taking a group to the 2018 Gathering in Houston.
