We are sad to announce that one of our long-time members, Anna Upeniecks, passed away early Saturday morning (Dec. 21) in her room at Conifer house. Anna was born in Latvia, before WWII. When Latvia was invaded druing the War, Anna’s family fled to a displaced persons’ camp, eventually immigrating to the eastern United States. A little over a decade ago, Anna moved from the East to Corvallis, to be near her daughter, Anita. Since that time she had become a valued member of our congregation. We will miss her presence among us.
