Back to School Drive at Vina Moses Center

Kids need stuff, especially for the beginning of the school year. Vina Moses Center has asked us (Pr Dorthy+ said yes we would do this) to have an In-Gathering of underwear and socks for kids. Sunday, May 7th is the last day to bring an assortment of packages. Thanks for caring about the students in our community.

Donations will be collected between now and the deadline in the yellow box in the Fireside Room.

Wisdom Seekers
Wisdom Seekers Book Group Welcomes New Participants!

The Wisdom Seekers Book Group started a new book on Thursday, April 13th  – This Tender Land: A Novel by William Kent Krueger.  It is the story of four orphans who travel the Mississippi River on a life-changing odyssey during the Great Depression, crossing paths with others who are adrift. It is described as an “enthralling, big-hearted epic that shows how the magnificent American landscape connects us all, haunts our dreams, and makes us whole.”

Meetings will be every Thursday at noon via Zoom, covering about 30 pages each week.  Please join us for some fun discussions!  If you would like to do so, please contact Mark Klopsch at klopschm@comcast.net so that he can add you to the Zoom invitation.
