Details:
Grace Lutheran Church Council is calling for a Special Congregation Meeting to discuss and vote on the purchase of property located at 2012 NW Tyler Ave (the house on the NE corner of the alley leading into the church parking lot off of Tyler Ave).  The church council has appointed a task force to do preliminary negotiations and funding services (working with a Real Estate Company/Lending).
Background:

Grace Lutheran owns two of the rentals adjacent to the property being sold

There has been hopes and desires to acquire this property in order to develop the parcels for mission and ministry work

The two rentals already owned by the church contribute close to $1000/mo to the General Fund (after taxes).

Grace Lutheran would own the entire block of land

Mission and Ministry Possibilities:

• Low income housing
• Student co-housing (commonweal living)
• Joint venture with Luther House Campus Ministry
• Open to other possibilities 

Meeting Guidelines:

• Meeting is for the purpose of discussing the acquisition of property only. Other discussion is “out of order.”
• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate
